Lamb Ribs
What Are Lamb Ribs?
Lamb ribs are a cut taken from the rib section of the lamb, typically located along the breast or lower rib cage. This cut includes a portion of bone, intermuscular fat, and meat, making it exceptionally flavorful. Lamb ribs are often trimmed into individual riblets or left in a rack form, depending on the cooking method and presentation.
Due to their marbling and connective tissue, lamb ribs are best suited for slow cooking techniques such as braising, roasting, or grilling over low heat. These methods allow the fat to render and the meat to become tender while developing a rich, savory flavor profile.
