Who is PremYum?
PremYum is a direct to consumer brand Parkhill Meats created to better service our customers.
Where are you located?
We are located in Parkhill, Ontario.
Do you source and slaughter the Beef, Veal, Goat, Lamb?
Yes we source and slaughter all the products locally and we are a provincially certified slaughterhouse. All our products are sourced from local farmers.
What is Halal Certified?
Halal certification is a guarantee that the food is prepared in accordance with Islamic law and is unadulterated. If a product contains animals or animal byproducts that are considered haram, then it cannot receive a halal certification.
How Does It Work?
Where do you deliver to?
We deliver all across Ontario, depending on the location we do direct delivery or utilize a third-party delivery service. Some extra charges may apply.
Can I customize my order?
Yes, we offer the ability to select an item and customize it as you need. If that is what you would like you can contact us and we would be happy to service you. Some extra charges may apply.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes, we have our location in Parkhill where you can pick up. We are also working towards having pickup points in different areas across Ontario. Stay tuned for more information.
How is the meat packaged?
You have the choice of paper wrap, vacuum seal of the individual product items. We then package your order in specially designed boxes for transportation that keeps your product cooled and ready to BBQ.
Other Items
Are your products fresh or frozen?
The vast majority of products that we sell are fresh and have never been frozen. We do have a number of items that are frozen to ensure that they remain as fresh as possible. All items are marked if they are fresh or frozen.
Does PremYum mechanically tenderize, inject, or process its steaks?
No, we never needle, inject, or mechanically tenderize our steaks. All of our steaks are cut, crafted and prepared by hand with no machine processing.
How soon do I need to cook my meat? Can I freeze it?
All orders are hand-cut fresh to order, so we recommend that you cook and consume, or freeze, your meat within five days of receiving it (or within three days, for chicken). Most proteins can be kept frozen for up to a year.
What are the best practices for meat handling?
We recommend that you prepare or freeze your PremYum order within five days of receiving it. Most meat will hold in a deep freeze for up to a year.
